Promoting a culture of responsible alcohol consumption is a fundamental value at Terrazza Aperol. The venue has adopted strict guidelines to ensure that alcoholic beverages are served responsibly and lawfully, with trained staff able to recognize early signs of overconsumption and intervene when necessary.
Environmental efforts in numbers and action
In 2023, Terrazza Aperol achieved important milestones in its environmental performance:
• Over 67 tons of CO₂ eq. (Scope 1 and 2 emissions)
• More than 8,200 m³ of water used
• Nearly 165,000 kWh of electricity consumed
• 28.3 tons of waste managed through strict recycling policies
These numbers reflect a broader commitment: eliminating single-use plastics, using recycled materials in furnishings and merchandising, and installing a microfiltration system that saved about 8,000 liters of water in one year.
People and training at the heart of growth
With a team of 22 employees, mostly under 30, Terrazza Aperol places a strong emphasis on professional development. In 2023, it delivered 805 hours of training, averaging 38.3 hours per employee, with topics ranging from safety to technical skills and sustainability. Every employee receives the “Practical Guide for Camparistas” and the Campari Group’s “Operations Handbook” to ensure consistent high standards across the board.
A genuine bond with the Venetian community
Terrazza Aperol’s commitment to Venice is evident in its €20,000+ investment in community initiatives in 2023. These include the restoration of historical gondolas, refurbishment of docking points, marble-cleaning volunteer efforts, collaborations with the Academy of Fine Arts, and the creation of “Venice: The Gondoliers’ Guide.” All are designed to preserve and promote the city’s unique heritage.
